The Law of Attraction in Action...
I run weekend workshops covering the topic of the Law of Attraction. These weekend workshops have an emphasis on learning and practising practical techniques designed to help the participants attract into their lives what it is that they desire.
What is the Law of Attraction?
Some of you may be familiar with the concept of the Law of Attraction which became well-known and popularised by the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. There have been many books written on this subject and the authors Esther and Jerry Hicks are well-known authors in this field. There have been other well-known books written on this subject, for example the book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill which some of you may be familiar with.
The idea behind the concept of the Law of Attraction is that we attract things into our lives which match our state of mind. Most of you will be familiar with the phrase 'like attracts like' and this is essentially the ethos behind the Law of Attraction. 'Like attracts like' therefore, if we are having positive thoughts and feelings, then we will attract positive situations into our lives, but if we are having negative thoughts and feelings, then we will attract negative situations into our lives.
There have been many techniques spoken about and taught in the various literature covering the Law of Attraction. Some of the more common techniques which have been used to assist people with attracting positive things into their lives, are visualisations, writing techniques, practising the attitude of gratitude and techniques to clear negative beliefs. Also, dream boards and collages can be created, whereby you come up with a number of pictures which depict the things that you want and then create a collage of these pictures which you can have visible in your home.
What will be covered in my weekend workshop?
I will touch upon some theory and explain why the Law of Attraction works. I will talk about the scientific basis for the Law of Attraction and explain how and why it works on an energetic level. The exercises which will be included on the first day will consist of a stream-of-consciousness writing technique to help you get in touch with your wants and desires which may be present on a conscious and subconscious level. We will also do a collage exercise which I have explained above.
There will be plenty of time during the day to share anything which has come up from each of the individual exercises and to ask questions. The group process can be a very powerful experience and the participants can benefit a great deal from sharing within the group.
On the Sunday, we will cover exercises in clearing negative beliefs which can block us from having what we want. This can be a profound exercise which can be very helpful for the participants to establish what may be blocking them from achieving success and the things that they desire.
We will also be covering the attitude of gratitude and understanding how this practice of gratitude can produce big shifts in how we are feeling and therefore make it more likely that we will attract positive things into our lives.
We will also try out a visualisation which you can then do yourself at home. We will also look at the spiritual dimension and how this relates to the Law of Attraction. Napoleon Hill refers to this as "infinite intelligence."
Here is some feedback from previous participants who have attended my workshop...
The time schedule for the weekend workshops I run is from 10am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The cost of the workshop is £100 which covers both days. The venue is the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education, Beauchamp Lodge, 2 Warwick Crescent, London W2 6NE. Each workshop consists of a small group, places are limited to six participants per workshop. This gives the space and time for each participant to share and interact with the group during the weekend.
